Desk Copy Requests
Alfred Music is pleased to provide complimentary desk copies to educators in accordance with the guidelines below.
Looking for a Perusal Copy? If you need a free copy to review while determining whether or not to adopt an Alfred Music book for a class, this is considered a Perusal Copy Request. Please refer to our Perusal Copy Policy instead.
Desk Copy Guidelines
- Eligibility: One complimentary desk copy will be sent for each teacher instructing a class that requires the text.
- Format: The desk copy will be identical to the student copy of the book. It will not be a teacher's resource guide.
- Exclusions: We are unable to provide desk copies of software, teacher handbooks, audio materials (such as CDs), or MIDI disks.
- School Property: Desk copies are sent with the intention that they remain the property of the school or institution. They should not be taken by a teacher or graduate assistant upon their departure and should instead be transferred to the incoming instructor.
- Additional Sections: Alfred Music reserves the right to send new desk copies at its discretion if additional class sections are added or under special circumstances.
